The Comic Vault Presents Martin Mateos Painting Seminar

In this workshop, we’ll explore how reflective materials work and how understanding the fundamentals of reflection can help us achieve more realistic and complex NMM. We’ll study real-life examples of metallic and reflective surfaces, breaking them down to understand what we’re actually seeing and why light behaves the way it does. We’ll then apply this knowledge to miniature painting, using what we’ve learned to approach our own NMM surfaces with greater accuracy, realism, and confidence. The goal is not simply to paint metal, but to understand what makes a surface look metallic and learn how to recreate that illusion on our miniatures.
